A lion

A lion is a member of the cat family.

A lion has three paws on each leg. A lion has whiskers and a mane. It has very sharp teeth and a tail.

A lion lives in Africa and can also be found in India and parts of Asia. It likes to live in hot places.

Lions are mainly nocturnal and they go hunting at night. Females do most of the hunting. A lion can run up to 81 kilometres per hour. They can run fast but can’t run for a long time. A lion’s roar can be heard from 8 kilometres.
