Day 1 Of Winter Learning Journey
Activity 1: Go to the Tourism New Zealand website and click on the ‘Facts - New Zealand People’ tab. Read about the people of New Zealand and then choose three interesting facts to post on your blog. The facts must be written in your own words. Do not simply copy and paste the facts from the website.
1. Mateship On the sporting field:
Rugby football is the most famous and popular sport in Aotearoa (New Zealand). With the legendary All Blacks winning the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
There are 600 clubs in New Zealand, There are 146,893 student registered to play rugby, and there are 28,648 adult playing Rugby league.
Most Schools is New Zealand and some schools in england has been playing rugby.
2. Kiwis Love The Great Outdoors:
Many visitors from other countries come to New Zealand to Camp and to do fun outdoor activity. Over 15% families own their own boats because they love New Zealand water. You can do Hiking, Camping, Fishing, Bush walks and beach walks, but most New Zealanders like to do climb mountains following the most famous adventures footsteps named Sir Edmund Hillary.
3.Backyard Genius:
Once Sir Ernest Rutherford split the atom, ever since twentieth century New Zealanders signed an invitation things. Lots of those invitation have been created in a back yard. The halonton jet boats, Bungy Jump are the most popular invitation.
Activity 2: Your tour of New Zealand is going to start right here in Auckland. Watch the Tourist video for Auckland to learn about the awesome things that you can see and do in the city. Once you’ve finished, choose your favourite five activities from the video and list them on your blog.

Bonus Activity: Now it’s time to start your tour! Curious Kiwi decides to start by taking you on a short tour through downtown Auckland. You stop at the Sky Tower, the tallest building in all of New Zealand. When you look up, you see a huge New Zealand flag on the top of the tower. This flag was created back in 1902. That makes the New Zealand flag 115 years old!.
One day Curious Kiwi and his friend Wiki went on a tiki tour around downtown Auckland city. One morning Curious woke up and heard a beep outside he looked outside and it was his friend Wiki, he went outside and ask him” “what’s up”, then Wiki said “ Wanna go for a Tiki Tour”, Once Wiki finished Curious ran fast upstairs brushed his teeth, washed his face and but some clothes on, he gave a kiss see you later to mum and dad. He jump in the Car and there were off. Once they left Wiki put the aux on the radio and started playing music.
Once we got to the city we went for to KFC to eat, Once we finished eating we went to the sky tower, the sky tower is the tallest building in all of New Zealand. When we looked up we could see the New Zealand flag at the point of the sky tower, the flag was created way back in the 1902. Then Curious looked at Wiki and Curious said “ Wiki are you thinking what im think”, and then Curious said “Yep, cause if we go climb up to the Flag and we put a photo of Me and You we will be rich. Once I said Rich Wiki graped me and went to bye some ticket bungy jump of the sky tower. Because Curious said “when we go to jump the guy that taking us around the sky tower and when he looks away then we sneck up the ladder and we take a photo and we will be famous see life hacks”. Then Wiki started laughing.
As soon as we got there we bought the ticket and we were getting ready to jump. We had to go to the highest level to go to the flag we looked down and Curious said “Wiki I don't think I could do this” he said in a worry face”, then when we hopped out Curious couldn't look down it was like we were in heaven it looked dusty and cloudy, I kept on looking at Wiki and he couldn't move or open his eyes. I said “all we need to do is just go up there and take a photo and we will be famouse”. Curious took a strong breath in and out I said Ready 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, I looked at the cear taker and he wasent looking at us, Once I got to 5 Wiki climp up and ladder and I was at the bottom Once we got there I holded up the camera and took one photo with the flag and a quick video, I took the video to broth that we really went up there. Once the photo was printed out we got duck tape and taped it. As soon as We got down we had to jump. At the count of 3 we had to jump 3, 2, 1, Jump we jumped and we started laughing. Curious was so happy and said “WERE GOING TO BE FAMOUS”.
Once we got home Wiki uploaded the photo on Youtube. On the next day Wiki turend the T.V and went on 1news, when he changed the New Reporters said Heres 2 people climping the higest Tower in New Zealand they are one of the famouse New Zealanders because there were the first people to clip the tower. Ever since the video went viral we had over 10,000 subscribers and we started to get Rich and Famouse
