Aramanga the taniwha

WALT - put the story in sequence from our own understanding

We read the story and it is about the Ngati-tu people were hungry and it was cold in winter. They set up their fishing nets but could not catch any fish in the Kanopkonui river where the taniwha lives.

There was a taniwha called Aramanga helped them by giving them fish. One day some strangers came and took fish from the river. The taniwha was angry and splashed its tail to the strangers and the Ngati-tu people. The people went flying to the rocks.

The Ngati-tu did not respect the taniwha and they ended up not having any fish.
